Painting as a reflection of You. Your art is more than technique—it’s a mirror of who you are: your tastes, ambitions, frustrations, strengths, and weaknesses. Every brushstroke and choice says something about who you are. My question to you now is: « what are you communicating through your paintings? Do your paintings reflect who you are, or do they reflect the technique you learned from someone else or just a copy of the subject you see infront of you ?
This module helps you to align your paintings with your identity and goals, so your art grows with you instead of your habits holding you back.

Technical lesson 1: How to connect with the public through your paintings?
This painting is not about painting chairs or still life paintings. It is about how to include the viewer in your paintings to get them emotionnally attached to your art!! Remeber who your market is (the public), now let's focus on how you can "speak" to the public through imagery! A picture tells a thousand words!!
Technical lesson 2: Learn how to create life in a subject!
There are times when we want to paint strong subjects with a soft atmosphere. How do we do it ? By understanding how to paint the effects of strength of subject and mood, you will be able to adapt to any subject. The goal is that these seemingly opposite characteristics work in the same painting. To do so, in this course we will use our shapes, tonal values and colour to create a hierarchie of TECHNIQUE !!
Technical lesson 3: The ULTIMATE lesson in painting : Design and emotion !!
In this course we will focus on how patterns create the design of your painting. This lesson will show you how important an abstract base to any painting is, and how to go about creating a strong design in order to achieve a strong painting. What is the role of colour, tonal values and shape in a strong design? How are they different from these facets in real life? Why simplifying is essential to make a strong design work and why should you learn to master strong design in every painting?

In this course I want to focus on the Art of painting details !! So join me here as we paint my favourite building in the world ; the Santa Maria della Salute in Venice. WHY ? My goal with this stunning subject is to focus on how to paint details effectively to FINISH your paintings well, without overworking, without looking niave and clumsey and getting your details to enhance your finished painting. Knowing how to finish a painting is possibly more important than how you start it !

This is a HUGE LIVE that focuses on the importance of your brushwork! Your brushwork is your personal identity; your style. It reflects your energy, illustrates your confidence or hesitation, your attitude and your personality. Your brushwork contributes to create your unique artistic identity. Are you using your brushwork in a way that convinces the public and judges, or are you simply not aware of its importance in your paintings? It is time to change that!
Technical lesson 8: Master Color for Backlighting: Create Convincing Shadows & Reflections in Your Paintings.
Here we will focus on the magic of back lighting, silhouettes and reflections. We will focus on choosing colours that will help you create convincing light, shadows and reflections. Colour choice is essential to create credible shadows and reflections, and shadows are essential to create good atmosphere in any subject, so getting them « right » is really important. The LIVES (26th Aug and 2nd September) are important to improve your shadow work for any subject.
This course is for motivated people who want to achieve better results in exhibitions and selling their paintings, whether the goal is to just cover painting costs or supplement your income or to become an independent professional artist. In the Option 3 Elite course, I will be working directly with you. Work at your own pace and move towards your goals. You DO NOT NEED TO BE A PROFESSIONAL ARTIST, you just need to have the desire to progress.
