Janine Gallizia LIVE - 9th November 2026
Paint depth using tonal values and composition.
Descripción del servicio
We will paint this scene with a soft wet-in-wet fog, building the painting up finally to a strong composition. Depth is not drawn. It is a gradual loss of contrast. This harbour view of Cornwell, England at low tide offers so many possibilities, the foreground holds the full range from darkest to lightest, while in the distance the darks and lights move closer together until they melt into the sky. We will use this method of aerial perspective with a twist to not be predictable in our final painting. Use this method in your land and seascapes. What you’ll learn this week : - Learn the 3 planes of a landscape, each with its own value range - Value convergence, predictability and surprises ! - The use of colour, tonal values and shape to guide the eye Live class or by REPLAY
